CRYAB (Phospho-Ser19)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based assay from Assay Genie designed to measure phosphorylation of CRYAB (alphaB-crystallin) at serine 19 directly in cultured cells. CRYAB is a small heat shock protein involved in the cellular stress response and protection against protein aggregation, and phosphorylation at Ser19 has been linked to cytoskeletal organization, cell migration, and cell survival.

The kit uses a colorimetric detection method at 450 nm in an indirect ELISA format, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, and is reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. It is intended for adherent cells and provides a lysate-free workflow for assessing relative levels of phosphorylated CRYAB, as well as screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors, or activators on CRYAB phosphorylation.

Phosphorylated CRYAB (Phospho-Ser19) is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.
