CRP1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie provides a sensitive and specific method for measuring CRP1 (also referred to as C-reactive protein 1) in cell lysates and culture supernatants. The kit offers a lysate-free, high-throughput workflow with reliable and reproducible results suited to research on inflammation, immune response, and disease progression, where CRP1 has been implicated as a marker of cardiovascular, autoimmune, and infectious conditions.

Detection is achieved by a colorimetric method read at 450 nm, using an indirect ELISA format in which target-specific primary antibodies capture CRP1 and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody. The assay is validated for human, mouse, and rat reactivity with adherent cell samples and operates over a dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.

The kit is supplied in a 96-well microplate format and is stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months.
