CREB (Phospho-Ser121)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based colorimetric ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate detection of phosphorylated CREB (cAMP response element-binding protein) at serine 121 in cell lysates or tissue homogenates. The kit supports analysis of CREB signaling pathway activation, which is involved in gene expression, cell growth, and neuronal plasticity.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which CREB (Phospho-Ser121) is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density. The kit is suited to measuring relative levels of phosphorylated CREB in cultured cells and to screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, and activators on CREB phosphorylation.
