CREB Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A high-quality in-cell ELISA kit from Assay Genie for measuring CREB (cAMP response element-binding protein) in cell cultures. This colorimetric, cell-based assay is lysate-free and designed to detect CREB protein expression profiles in cultured cells, as well as to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), and activators on CREB.

Qualitative determination is achieved through an indirect ELISA format: CREB-specific primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition that is measured at 450 nm. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control to normalize target absorbance values. Following the colorimetric read, a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalized to cell amounts and plating differences to be adjusted.

Reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and suited to adherent cells, the kit has a reported dynamic range greater than 5000 cells. Storage is at 4 °C with 6 months stability, and the format is a 96-well microplate.
