The COVID-19 Human IgM PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is built on an indirect immunoassay architecture in which microplate wells are pre-coated with recombinant SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein (NP) alongside the spike glycoprotein S1 receptor-binding domain (RBD). This dual-antigen capture strategy supports detection of class-specific IgM antibodies in human serum, offering a complementary readout to IgG-based assays during the early seroconversion window when IgM titres rise ahead of class-switched IgG.

Marked for research use only, the kit supports seroprevalence surveillance, vaccine response profiling, and studies of acute humoral immunity in COVID-19 cohorts. Each pack contains a strip-well plate, calibrated positive and negative controls, wash buffer concentrate, sample diluent, an enzyme-conjugated anti-human IgM detector, and TMB substrate for chromogenic endpoint generation. The protocol calls for a small sample input of approximately 10 µL of serum per well, with results interpreted against a standard curve generated from kit calibrators.

Assay Genie supplies the kit in a 96-assay configuration. Reconstituted components should be refrigerated between uses, while the conjugate and reference standards are best kept frozen in single-use aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and preserve the binding activity of the coated recombinant antigens.
