This indirect ELISA from Assay Genie specifically quantifies human IgG antibodies directed against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein S1 subunit, with the receptor-binding domain (RBD) pre-coated on the microplate. Because the RBD mediates viral attachment to ACE2, antibodies measured here frequently correlate with virus-neutralizing activity, supporting use cases such as seroprevalence surveys, post-vaccination titre monitoring, and immunological research into long-term humoral memory. The reagents are intended for in vitro research use only.

The kit accepts several specimen types, including dried blood spot eluate, saliva, plasma, and serum.
