COPS5 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

From Assay Genie, this Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of COPS5 (COP9 signalosome subunit 5) in cell lysates. The assay is reactive with Human and Mouse samples, uses adherent cells, and follows an indirect ELISA format in which COPS5 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. It provides a lysate-free, high throughput workflow suitable for measuring relative COPS5 expression in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on COPS5 levels.

COPS5 is described as a key protein involved in regulating cellular processes including cell cycle progression, DNA damage response, and protein degradation, with dysregulation linked to cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and other diseases. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density. Detection is colorimetric at 450 nm with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The kit is configured in a 96-Well Microplate format, with storage at 4°C for 6 Months.
