COPS2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

This Cell-Based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of COPS2 (Constitutive Photomorphogenic 9 Signalosome Subunit 2) protein expression in cell culture systems. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method at 450 nm in a 96-Well Microplate format, providing a lysate-free, high-throughput workflow with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, and is suitable for adherent cells.

The kit is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples and uses an indirect ELISA format, where COPS2 is captured by specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyse a colour-forming reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody against human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalisation, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be adjusted for plating differences.

COPS2 is an essential component of the COP9 signalosome complex (CSN), a regulator of the ubiquitin conjugation pathway and various signalling processes, with a molecular weight of 52,405 Da. Storage is at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 Months.
