Coagulation Factor III Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Coagulation Factor III Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a cell-based assay designed for the qualitative measurement of Coagulation Factor III protein expression in cultured human cells. Factor III, also known as tissue factor, initiates the blood coagulation cascade by forming a complex with circulating factor VII or VIIa, and its dysregulation has been linked to thrombotic disorders, making it a useful biomarker for coagulation research.

The kit uses an indirect ELISA format in which Coagulation Factor III is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. Detection is read colorimetrically at 450 nm, with a dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is provided to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be normalised to cell amount.

Lysate-free and intended for adherent cell samples, the assay can be used to measure relative Coagulation Factor III levels in cultured cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors or activators on its expression. The kit is supplied in a microplate format and is stored at 4°C with a stability of 6 months.
