Claudin 7 (Phospho-Tyr210)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the qualitative measurement of Claudin 7 (Phospho-Tyr210) phosphorylation directly in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which phospho-specific and total primary antibodies are detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, producing a colorimetric signal at 450 nm. It is intended for adherent cell use and shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples.

The kit can be used to measure relative levels of phosphorylated Claudin 7 in cultured cells and to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on Claudin 7 phosphorylation. Because the readout is qualitative, two normalization methods are included: an anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody serves as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell stain is used to normalize absorbance readings to cell number.

Claudin-7 is an integral membrane protein of the claudin family and a core component of tight junction strands, where it plays a major role in tight junction-specific obliteration of the intercellular space and contributes to cell-cell adhesion in epithelial tissues.
