CKS1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the qualitative detection of CKS1 protein expression in cultured cells, including adherent cells, cell lysates and culture supernatants. The assay uses an indirect ELISA approach in which CKS1-specific primary antibodies are captured and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody; HRP activity is then read at 450 nm. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used after the colorimetric readout to determine cell density for normalization of plating differences.

The kit is validated for Human and Mouse reactivity and provides a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, supporting high-throughput work and the screening of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators that affect CKS1 expression. It targets CKS1, a key regulator of the cell cycle that binds the catalytic subunit of cyclin-dependent kinases and is essential for their biological function, making it a useful tool for research into cell cycle progression, proliferation and related disease mechanisms. The kit is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format and should be stored at 4°C, where it remains stable for 6 Months.
