Description

A colorimetric, cell-based ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the sensitive detection and quantification of CKI-gamma2 protein levels in cell lysates. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which CKI-gamma2 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. The kit is described as lysate-free and high-throughput, and is suitable for measuring relative CKI-gamma2 protein expression in adherent cultured cells, as well as for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on CKI-gamma2.

Reactivity is reported for Human, Mouse and Rat, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. Detection is colorimetric at 450 nm, the format is a 96-well microplate, and the kit is stored at 4 °C with a stability of 6 Months. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density and correct for plating differences. CKI-gamma2 (gene symbol CSNK1G2) is described in the product literature as a key regulator of cell cycle progression and cell division that contributes to DNA integrity, with dysregulation linked to cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, and the kit is positioned for metabolism research.
