Description
From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed to study phosphorylation of CHK1 at serine 317 in cultured cells. CHK1 plays a critical role in cell cycle regulation and DNA damage repair, making it a key target for research into cellular signaling pathways and DNA damage response mechanisms.
The kit uses a qualitative indirect ELISA format. The target is captured by Chk1 (Phospho-Ser317)-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm. The assay is described as lysate-free and high throughput, with a stated dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells. Reactivity covers human, mouse, and rat samples, and the intended sample type is adherent cells.
A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density. The sub-type is phospho, with the target associated with gene ID 1111 and UniProt ID O14757.
