Chicken Testosterone (Testosterone) ELISA Kit

A competitive ELISA kit from Assay Genie intended for the quantitative determination of testosterone in chicken serum and plasma samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection read at 450 nm, with a measurement range of 3.9–250 pg/mL. Supplied for research use only, the kit supports studies of reproductive physiology, behaviour, and endocrinology in poultry, including applications in breeding, growth, and veterinary research.

Components include a dismountable microplate (8×12 strips), two lyophilised standards, sample diluent (20 mL), two assay diluents (10 mL each), detection reagent A (60 µL), detection reagent B (120 µL), wash buffer (30 mL), substrate (10 mL), stop solution (10 mL), and five plate sealers. Most reagents are stored at –20°C; the wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution are stored at 4°C. Equipment required but not provided: a microplate reader with a 450 nm filter, multichannel pipette, incubator, and deionised or distilled water.

Sample preparation guidance is provided for serum, plasma (EDTA or heparin anticoagulated), urine, cerebrospinal fluid, cell culture supernatant, cell lysates, tissue homogenates, tissue lysates, and breast milk. Over-haemolysed samples are not suitable for use with this kit.
