Chicken SCF/Stem Cell Factor ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of SCF (Stem Cell Factor) in chicken samples, a cytokine involved in hematopoiesis, stem cell maintenance, and cell proliferation. The double antibody sandwich assay uses colorimetric detection and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The target is also known by the synonyms SCFR and c-Kit, with the associated UniProt accession Q09108.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measuring range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Linearity for serum (n=5) at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 ranges from 87-103%, 85-95%, and 88-99% respectively. EDTA plasma (n=5) shows linearity ranges of 87-100%, 82-101%, and 83-94% at the same dilutions, while heparin plasma (n=5) shows ranges of 81-97%, 81-100%, and 85-99%. Recovery ranges from 85-105% in serum (average 98%), 86-105% in EDTA plasma (average 97%), and 90-103% in heparin plasma (average 95%). Kit components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The assay procedure follows these steps: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, then load standards, samples, and controls onto the pre-coated plate and incubate at 37°C for 90 minutes. Biotin-labeled detection antibody is added and incubated at 37°C for 60 minutes, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes at 37°C. TMB substrate is added and incubated in the dark for 10-20 minutes, then stop solution is added and absorbance is read at 450 nm.
