The Chicken Netrin receptor UNC5C ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a sandwich-format colorimetric immunoassay built for the quantitative measurement of UNC5C in chicken serum and plasma samples. UNC5C (Unc-5 homolog C) is a transmembrane dependence receptor for netrin-1 that contributes to axon guidance, neuronal migration, and programmed cell death during embryonic development, supporting work in developmental neurobiology and apoptosis research using avian models.

The kit arrives as a 96-well microplate pre-coated with capture antibody, paired with biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant standards, wash buffer, and TMB substrate. The colorimetric signal is generated through an HRP-catalyzed reaction, with absorbance read at 450 nm. A standard curve allows quantification across a defined concentration range, and intra-assay precision is supported by running samples in duplicate wells. To preserve reagent activity, unopened kits should be refrigerated at 2–8 °C and the reconstituted standard aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Typical protocols use 100 µl of sample or standard per well, and the assay is intended for research use only, enabling studies of netrin signaling, neuronal patterning, intestinal epithelial biology, and organ morphogenesis in the chick embryo system.
