Chicken IL-6 ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise measurement of Interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels in chicken samples, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format and a colorimetric detection method. The assay accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, supporting research into IL-6 as a cytokine involved in immune response, inflammation and broader regulation of physiology in chickens.

Quantitative performance specifications include a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Linearity across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 (n=5) is reported as 86–96%, 95–102%, 86–101% for serum; 93–101%, 89–100%, 92–101% for EDTA plasma; and 88–100%, 82–96%, 90–99% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery performance averages 99% for serum (range 93–104%), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 85–101%) and 95% for heparin plasma (range 87–101%).

The assay procedure consists of reagent equilibration, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37 °C, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, stop solution addition, and absorbance reading at 450 nm. Reagents are stored at 2–8 °C for 12 months, with light-protected handling for the biotin-labelled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Sample preparation protocols are provided for serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant and cell lysate, with technical support offered by the manufacturer for other sample types.
