Chicken IL-2 ELISA Kit

Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantification of IL-2 (Interleukin 2), a cytokine involved in regulating immune responses and promoting T-cell growth and activation. The kit is reactive with chicken samples and employs a colorimetric double-antibody detection method.

Reported sensitivity is 18.75 pg/mL with an assay range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Compatible matrices include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (n=5), linearity is reported for serum (89-102%, 86-104%, 90-105%), EDTA plasma (89-101%, 87-93%, 86-98%) and heparin plasma (82-98%, 80-92%, 82-94%). Recovery ranges are 85-100% (serum, average 95%), 85-101% (EDTA plasma, average 91%) and 88-99% (heparin plasma, average 93%), each with n=5.

The procedure includes reagent and plate equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution. IL-2 has been implicated in various immune-related disorders, making it a useful biomarker for studying immune response and developing therapeutic interventions in poultry health and disease research.
