Chicken IL-18 ELISA Kit

This colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Chicken IL-18 (Interleukin 18, also known as IGIF, IL-1g, IL-1F4 and interferon-gamma-inducing factor), a cytokine involved in the regulation of immune responses and inflammation. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The kit has a sensitivity of 3.75 pg/mL and a working range of 6.25–400 pg/mL. Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 falls between 80% and 105% in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery performance ranges from 87–102% in serum (average 92%), 94–104% in EDTA plasma (average 98%) and 88–105% in heparin plasma (average 95%). Unopened components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The workflow includes reagent equilibration, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37 °C, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin binding step, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after the addition of stop solution.
