The Chicken IL-10 DIY ELISA Kit from Assay Genie supports quantification of Interleukin-10, an anti-inflammatory cytokine produced by regulatory T cells, macrophages, and B cells that modulates Th1/Th2 balance in avian immune systems. Because the kit ships in DIY format, the laboratory assembles the immunoassay on its own microplate using the included capture antibody, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant chicken IL-10 standard, and streptavidin-HRP conjugate. This setup gives researchers full control over plate layout, replicate count, and sample batching while keeping per-plate cost low. Sufficient reagents are provided for up to 10 plates, accommodating large vaccination, pathogen-challenge, and feed-additive trials common in poultry immunology research.

IL-10 measurement is widely applied in studies of Marek's disease virus, infectious bursal disease, avian influenza, coccidiosis, and necrotic enteritis, where elevated IL-10 often signals immune evasion or regulatory suppression. Researchers can quantify IL-10 in serum, in tissue homogenates from spleen or bursa of Fabricius, or in ConA-stimulated splenocyte culture supernatant to characterize Treg activity and cytokine kinetics over time. The assay is intended for research use only.

Working stocks should be aliquoted on arrival and stored frozen at the temperature indicated in the lot-specific insert; the recombinant standard is particularly sensitive to repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Each production lot is validated against recombinant chicken IL-10 to confirm consistent dilution linearity across the working range.
