Chicken IgY/Immunoglobulin Y ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of immunoglobulin Y in chicken samples, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie employs a double-antibody configuration with a colorimetric readout. The kit targets Chicken IgY, an important antibody in the chicken immune system that provides protection against infections and diseases, and is intended for research into immune responses, vaccine effectiveness, and disease progression in poultry populations, supporting work in avian immunology, infectious disease, and vaccine development.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Recommended storage is 2–8°C for 12 months.

Linearity performance across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma falls within 80–104% at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8. Recovery is reported as 85–95% (average 91%) in serum, 86–104% (average 99%) in EDTA plasma, and 92–103% (average 97%) in heparin plasma. The protocol uses a biotinylated detection antibody with HRP-streptavidin and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.
