Chicken Dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Chicken DHFR ELISA Kit provides quantitative measurement of dihydrofolate reductase, the folate pathway enzyme that reduces dihydrofolate to tetrahydrofolate. Because DHFR is the cellular target of antifolate drugs such as methotrexate, this assay is commonly used for pharmacokinetic, inhibitor screening, and folate metabolism studies in chicken models.

Based on a sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection, the kit is validated for serum and plasma samples. Each microplate contains 96 pre-coated wells and the standard protocol typically uses 100 µL of sample per well, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.

Unopened kit components should be stored at 2-8 °C; reconstituted reagents are kept refrigerated and used within the stated shelf life. The product is intended for research use only, supporting applications such as vaccine research, comparative avian biology, and drug response profiling.
