Chicken CRP ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA (double antibody) kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of chicken C-reactive protein (CRP; also known as PTX1 / Pentraxin 1; UniProt P67966). It is intended for use with chicken serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is aimed at research into inflammation, infection, and immune response in poultry and related veterinary settings.

Stated performance includes a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a measurable range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is reported as 87–96%, 85–103%, 87–98% for serum, 86–96%, 83–97%, 85–94% for EDTA plasma and 87–100%, 83–99%, 89–96% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Recovery in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma is 88–105%, 89–98% and 92–103% respectively, with corresponding averages of 98%, 94% and 97%. The protocol uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after adding the stop solution. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C, with a stated 12-month shelf life.
