Chicken Antithrombin-III (SERPINC1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of Antithrombin-III (SERPINC1) in chicken-derived samples. Antithrombin III is described as the most important serine protease inhibitor in plasma that regulates the blood coagulation cascade; it inhibits thrombin, matriptase-3/TMPRSS7 and factors IXa, Xa and XIa, with inhibitory activity greatly enhanced in the presence of heparin. The product is labelled for research use only.

The assay is reactive with chicken and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Specificity covers natural and recombinant chicken Antithrombin-III, and the target is referenced under UniProt accession Q03352. The reported detection range is 7.8-500 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 2.7 ng/ml. According to the data sheet, intra-assay CV, inter-assay CV, linearity and recovery are provided with the kit. The target protein is secreted to the extracellular space and forms a protease-inhibiting heterodimer with TMPRSS7.

Supplied components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample diluent, two assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. The protocol recommends running samples in duplicate and reading absorbance at 450 nm using a microplate reader.
