Chicken Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of chicken Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method and is reactive in chicken samples. The assay is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and detects natural and recombinant chicken ACE (UniProt Q10751).

Performance specifications provided by the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.15 ng/mL. The target analyte is also known by the synonyms Dipeptidyl carboxypeptidase I, Kininase II, ACE, and DCP1, and is classified as a single-pass type I membrane protein. Its biological role is to convert angiotensin I to angiotensin II by release of the terminal His-Leu, resulting in an increase of the vasoconstrictor activity of angiotensin.

Supplied in a solid-phase format, the kit is stored at -20°C and shipped at +4°C. It is intended for research use only. The accompanying protocol describes a sandwich ELISA workflow culminating in OD measurement at 450 nm using a standard microplate reader.
