Chicken alpha-FP/Alpha-Fetoprotein ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is configured as a double-antibody assay for the quantitative measurement of alpha-Fetoprotein (also known as alphaFP, AFP, FETA or HPAFP; UniProt P84407) in chicken samples. The colorimetric workflow uses a biotinylated detection antibody with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and a TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution is added.

Reported performance figures include a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and an assay range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. The kit is validated for chicken serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Linearity for serum (n=5) is 85–101% at 1:2, 90–100% at 1:4 and 82–98% at 1:8; EDTA plasma 87–105%, 88–99% and 81–99%; heparin plasma 91–98%, 84–99% and 81–100%. Spike-recovery averages are 95% for serum (range 87–105%), 95% for EDTA plasma (88–105%) and 98% for heparin plasma (87–104%).
