CGK 2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

Assay Genie provides a Cell-Based ELISA kit for the qualitative determination of CGK 2 protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which CGK 2 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, and detection is achieved through HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm. The kit is described as lysate-free, high throughput, and sensitive, and is intended for measuring relative CGK 2 levels in cultured cells as well as for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors, or activators on CGK 2.

Reactivity covers Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, with adherent cells as the indicated sample type. The quoted dynamic range is > 5000 Cells, and the format is a 96-well microplate stored at 4°C for 6 months. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalized to cell number.

CGK 2 corresponds to cGMP-dependent protein kinase 2, also known as PRKG2, an AGC kinase of the PKG family (UniProt ID Q13237, Gene ID 5593).
