CDK2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed to detect and quantify CDK2 levels in cell samples, offering a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay for measuring the relative amounts of CDK2 in cultured cells. CDK2, also known as cyclin-dependent kinase 2, is described as a key regulator of cell cycle progression that plays a crucial role in cell division and proliferation, with dysregulation of its activity linked to various diseases, including cancer.

The kit uses an indirect ELISA format in which CDK2 is captured by CDK2-specific primary antibodies and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition that is read at 450 nm. Reactivity is reported for Human, Mouse and Rat samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density. The kit is suitable both for measuring CDK2 expression and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on CDK2.

The assay is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format with recommended storage at 4°C for 6 months, and is intended for use with adherent cells.
