CDC2L1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

Assay Genie provides a cell-based ELISA kit for the qualitative analysis and relative quantification of CDC2L1 protein expression in cultured cells. CDC2L1, also known as cyclin-dependent kinase 11B (CDK11B), is a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family that plays multiple roles in cell cycle progression, cytokinesis, apoptosis and pre-mRNA splicing. The assay is lysate-free and high-throughput, using an indirect ELISA format in which CDC2L1 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

Detection is performed colorimetrically at 450 nm with a dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells, and the kit is reactive with human and mouse adherent cells. Storage is at 4 °C with a stability of 6 months. Two normalization strategies are included: a monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody serves as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell stain may be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be adjusted for plating differences. The kit supports research into cell death and related cellular processes, including screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on CDC2L1 expression.
