CDC25A (Phospho-Ser75)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of CDC25A phosphorylated at serine 75 in cell lysates, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which target-specific primary antibodies capture the phosphorylated protein, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.

The kit is validated for reactivity with human, mouse and rat samples and is intended for use with adherent cells. Detection is colorimetric, read at 450 nm, and the assay supports research into cell cycle regulation, including studies of cell division and proliferation, and screening for the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on CDC25A phosphorylation. CDC25A is a member of the CDC25 phosphatase family required for G1/S progression; it is described as a dosage-dependent inducer of mitotic control that activates cyclin-dependent kinase CDC2 by removing two phosphate groups.
