CDC2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the qualitative detection of CDC2 (also known as CDK1, or cyclin-dependent kinase 1) protein expression directly in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect, lysate-free format in which CDC2 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, producing a colorimetric signal at 450 nm. It is suited to adherent cells and validated for use with human, mouse, and rat samples, making it useful for measuring relative CDC2 levels or for screening the effects of treatments, siRNA, or chemical modulators on CDC2 expression.

The kit has a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. For data normalization, it includes a monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody as an internal positive control, and provides a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalized to cell number. Storage is at 4 °C for 6 months. CDC2 is a catalytic subunit of the M-phase promoting factor (MPF) complex and is essential for G1/S and G2/M phase transitions of the cell cycle; its dysregulation has been reported in cancers including colon, liver, and breast.
