CD5 (Phospho-Tyr453)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA kit is designed for the detection of CD5 phosphorylated at tyrosine 453 in cell samples, supporting studies of phosphorylation-dependent signalling in immune cells. CD5 is described as a cell surface glycoprotein that plays a critical role in T cell development and activation, and phosphorylation at tyrosine 453 has been shown to regulate its function and signalling activities.

The assay employs an indirect ELISA format in which CD5 (Phospho-Tyr453) is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies binding the Fc region of the primary antibody. The conjugated HRP catalyses a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm. It is described as a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive assay suitable for measuring the relative amounts of phosphorylated CD5 in cultured cells and for screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on CD5 phosphorylation. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is provided to determine cell density after the colorimetric measurement.

The assay is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples and has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. It is intended for use with adherent cells.
