Description

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the accurate detection of phosphorylated CD226 at Ser329 in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. It provides high sensitivity and specificity, supporting research into immune cell signaling, T cell activation, and immune-related disease mechanisms where CD226 phosphorylation at Ser329 is a relevant biomarker.

The assay uses an indirect, lysate-free colorimetric format with measurement at 450 nm and a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. Reactivity is confirmed for human and mouse samples. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density. The kit is suitable for measuring relative levels of phosphorylated CD226 in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, or activators on CD226 phosphorylation.

CD226, also known as DNAM-1, is a membrane-associated immunoglobulin-superfamily adhesion molecule encoded by a gene located at chromosomal region 18q22.3. It is expressed on the surface of NK cells, platelets, monocytes, and a subset of T cells, and functions in intercellular adhesion, lymphocyte signaling, cytotoxicity, and natural killer cell-mediated responses. The target is identified by Gene ID 10666 and UniProt ID Q15762.
