CCR5 (Phospho-Ser336)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the qualitative detection of phosphorylated CCR5 at serine 336 directly in cultured cells, using a convenient lysate-free workflow. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format: CCR5 (Phospho-Ser336)-specific primary antibodies capture the target, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody and catalyse a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm.

The kit is reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, supports a dynamic range of > 5000 cells, and is intended for use with adherent cells. It is suited to high-throughput screening for the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on CCR5 phosphorylation.

Because the assay is qualitative, two normalisation methods are provided: a monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalised to cell numbers and plating differences to be adjusted.
