Caveolin-1 (Phospho-Tyr14)Fluorometric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this fluorometric cell-based ELISA kit is designed to monitor phosphorylation of Caveolin-1 at Tyr14 in cultured cells, providing a lysate-free, high-throughput workflow for measuring relative phosphorylated Caveolin-1 levels. The kit is suitable for screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), and activators on CAV1 phosphorylation.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format. Target-specific primary antibodies capture Caveolin-1 (Phospho-Tyr14), while Dye 1- and Dye 2-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody for fluorometric detection at Ex/Em 651/667 nm and 495/521 nm. The dynamic range supports analysis of > 5000 cells, with reactivity confirmed for human, mouse, and rat samples, and the kit is intended for storage at 4°C for 6 months.

For data normalization, the kit includes a monoclonal GAPDH antibody as an internal positive control and an antibody against the non-phosphorylated counterpart of Caveolin-1, allowing RFU values for phosphorylated Caveolin-1 to be normalized against total Caveolin-1 signals. The CAV1 gene (Gene ID 857; UniProt Q03135) encodes a caveolar scaffolding protein implicated in T-cell receptor signaling and Wnt pathway regulation.
