Caveolin-1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the qualitative detection of Caveolin-1 protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format, in which Caveolin-1-specific primary antibodies are detected by HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction at 450 nm upon substrate addition. The workflow is lysate-free and high-throughput, supporting measurement of relative Caveolin-1 levels in adherent cells and the screening of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators.

Reported reactivity covers Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. The dynamic range is given as > 5000 Cells and the kit is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format. An anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step supports determination of cell density and adjustment for plating variation. Storage is at 4°C with a stability of 6 Months.
