Catenin-delta1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a cell-based ELISA kit for the detection of catenin delta1 levels in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. The assay uses an indirect colorimetric ELISA format with absorbance read at 450 nm, providing qualitative determination of catenin delta1 protein expression in cultured cells. It is validated for human, mouse and rat samples with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells.

The high-throughput, lysate-free protocol is suited to measuring relative catenin delta1 levels in adherent cells and to evaluating the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on catenin delta1 expression. Detection relies on catenin delta1-specific primary antibodies paired with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, producing a colour reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided to determine cell density.

Reactivity covers human, mouse and rat. Recommended storage is at 4 °C with 6 months stability. The kit is intended for research use in cell biology and related areas, including studies of cell adhesion, migration and signal transduction, with relevance to oncology and drug development.
