Caspase 9 (Phospho-Ser144)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables qualitative detection of Caspase-9 phosphorylated at Ser144 in adherent cell samples, with human reactivity. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which phospho-specific and total Caspase-9 primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm.

It is suited to measuring relative Caspase-9 phosphorylation in cultured cells and to screening the effects of treatments, siRNA, chemical inhibitors, or activators on the phosphorylation status. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody serves as an internal positive control, while Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to normalize absorbance to cell density. With a dynamic range of > 5000 cells, the kit supports high-throughput studies of apoptotic pathways, where Caspase-9 phosphorylation at Ser144 is associated with its activation during programmed cell death.
