Caspase 8 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Cell-Based ELISA kit designed for the qualitative detection of Caspase 8 protein expression in cultured cells. The kit uses an indirect ELISA format in which Caspase 8-specific primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. This lysate-free, high-throughput assay is suited for measuring relative Caspase 8 levels in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on Caspase 8.

Configured for use with adherent cells, the assay is read colorimetrically at 450 nm on a 96-well microplate format, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells and reactivity in Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be normalised to cell amounts and plating differences adjusted. The kit is stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 Months.
