Caspase 6 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit enables qualitative detection of Caspase 6 protein expression directly in cultured cells without the need to prepare separate lysates. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which Caspase 6 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies; HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody and catalyze a colorimetric reaction after substrate is introduced, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

The kit is reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples and supports a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. Two normalization approaches are included: an anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody serves as an internal positive control for target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating variation. The kit is suited for measuring relative Caspase 6 levels in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on Caspase 6 expression.
