Caspase 2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit provides a sensitive, lysate-free, high-throughput assay for the quantitative analysis of Caspase 2 in cultured cells. The kit uses an indirect ELISA format in which Caspase 2-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyse a colour reaction upon substrate addition. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

The assay is intended for use with human samples and has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values. A Crystal Violet whole-cell stain is supplied to determine cell density after HRP measurement, allowing absorbance values to be normalised to cell amount and correcting for plating differences.

The kit is supplied in a microplate format with storage at 4°C and a stability of 6 months. Caspase-2 plays a key role in apoptosis and in the regulation of cell death and survival pathways. Its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, neurodegenerative disorders and autoimmune conditions, making this kit suitable for apoptosis and cell death research, as well as drug discovery studies.
