Caspase 1 (Phospho-Ser376)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This In-Cell ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate detection of phosphorylated caspase-1 at serine 376 in various cell types. The kit is configured as a cell-based colorimetric assay using an indirect ELISA format, in which the target is captured by phospho-specific primary antibodies and detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

Validated for use with adherent cell samples, the assay has reactivity with human, mouse and rat samples and a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, with absorbance read at 450 nm. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalization, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. The kit is intended for measuring the relative amounts of phosphorylated caspase-1 in cultured cells and for screening the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (e.g. siRNA or chemicals) or activators have on caspase-1 phosphorylation.
