The Assay Genie Canine VEGF-A DIY ELISA Kit enables researchers to quantify vascular endothelial growth factor A in dog-derived samples, supporting studies in tumor angiogenesis, ischemic tissue repair, and inflammatory disease models. VEGF-A is the principal pro-angiogenic isoform of the VEGF family, driving endothelial cell proliferation and vascular permeability, and measuring its circulating concentration is a common readout in veterinary oncology and regenerative medicine research.

Each DIY-format kit ships with capture antibody, detection antibody, recombinant canine VEGF-A standard, streptavidin-HRP, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution in quantities scaled for up to 10 plates. This format allows laboratories running larger canine cohorts or longitudinal studies to assemble their own microplate using their preferred well density. A standard sample volume of 100 uL per well is recommended for the assay procedure.

For best results, store unopened components refrigerated and protect the streptavidin-HRP conjugate from light; frozen aliquots of reconstituted standard should be kept below -20 °C and limited to a single freeze-thaw cycle to preserve binding activity. The kit is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or clinical decision-making in companion animals.
