CCL3, also referred to as MIP1a, is a C-C chemokine released by activated macrophages, dendritic cells, and lymphocytes that drives recruitment of monocytes, T cells, and neutrophils to inflamed tissue. In canine research, MIP1a concentrations are commonly tracked in models of arthritis, sepsis, viral infection, and chronic inflammatory disease, and the analyte is often included in multiplex cytokine panels profiling innate and adaptive immune responses.
