Canine Interleukin 3 (IL-3) ELISA Kit

Interleukin-3 (IL-3) is a pleiotropic cytokine that acts on multipotent hematopoietic progenitors, supporting proliferation, differentiation, and functional maturation of cells of the myeloid lineage. In canine research, IL-3 measurement is informative for studies of allergic inflammation, parasitic infection, immune cell development, and bone marrow function, where altered cytokine levels can signal shifts in early hematopoietic activity.

This kit from Assay Genie pairs a monoclonal capture antibody with a biotinylated detection antibody for quantitative IL-3 measurement in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. A standard curve, wash buffer, detection reagents, substrate, and a pre-coated microplate are included for 96 determinations. The reported detection range is 15.6 to 1000 pg/mL, with a sensitivity below 9.4 pg/mL. Each well requires a 50 µL sample volume, and the full protocol is completed in roughly 3.5 hours at room temperature.

For storage, unopened components should be kept refrigerated at 2-8°C and protected from light. Reconstituted standards and diluted samples are usually aliquoted and stored frozen to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Plates should be allowed to equilibrate in the sealed pouch before opening.
