Canine IL-8 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a colorimetric Sandwich ELISA Kit built on a double-antibody detection method for the quantitative measurement of canine Interleukin-8 (IL-8). The kit is designed for use with canine serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, making it suitable for cytokine profiling research in dog-derived specimens. IL-8 is a cytokine signalling molecule (UniProt P41324) also known by the synonyms CXCL8, GCP-1, MDNCF, NAP-1, MONAP, AMCF-I and others.

Performance characteristics taken from the product specification include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, with recovery ranges averaging 98% in serum, 93% in EDTA plasma and 96% in heparin plasma. The workflow uses a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-conjugated Streptavidin and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after stopping the reaction. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C, where the kit remains stable for up to 12 months.
