Canine IL-1a ELISA Kit (CNFI00024)

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of canine interleukin-1 alpha (IL-1a). The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is reactive with canine specimens, with IL1A classified as a cytokine (UniProt O46612).

According to the manufacturer, suitable sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Sensitivity is stated as 9.375 pg/mL and the detection range as 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Recommended storage is 2–8°C for 12 months.

Reported linearity (n=5) in serum is 88–101% at 1:2, 85–96% at 1:4, and 81–100% at 1:8; in EDTA plasma 87–105%, 85–95%, and 81–98%; and in heparin plasma 89–103%, 85–97%, and 83–98%. Reported recovery (n=5) averages 93% for serum (range 87–103%), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 88–105%), and 94% for heparin plasma (range 85–104%). The procedure comprises reagent equilibration, a 37°C/90-minute primary incubation, a 37°C/60-minute biotinylated detection antibody step, a 37°C/30-minute HRP-streptavidin step, TMB colour development in the dark, stop solution addition, and absorbance reading at 450 nm.
