The CCKAR gene encodes the cholecystokinin A receptor, a G protein-coupled receptor that mediates the actions of the gut-brain peptide hormone cholecystokinin on satiety signaling, gallbladder contraction, and pancreatic exocrine secretion. This canine-specific ELISA from Assay Genie enables researchers to quantify CCKAR protein levels in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids using a colorimetric detection method. The assay supports in vitro research on canine appetite regulation, gastrointestinal physiology, pancreatic function, and obesity-related signaling pathways.
Supplied in a 96-assay format, the kit is intended for research use only. Samples are prepared as tissue homogenates prior to running the assay, allowing investigators to evaluate regional differences in CCKAR abundance across pancreatic, gastric, intestinal, and central nervous system tissues from canine models.
