Built for canine immunology research, this Assay Genie DIY ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of B-cell activating factor (BAFF, TNFSF13B) across experimental and clinical samples. BAFF is a TNF superfamily cytokine that governs B-cell maturation, survival, and class-switch recombination, making it a relevant biomarker for investigations of immune-mediated hemolytic anemia, autoimmune disease, lymphoma biology, and post-vaccination antibody responses in dogs.

Supplied in a do-it-yourself format, the kit includes capture and detection antibodies, recombinant canine BAFF standard, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, TMB substrate, wash buffer, and diluents so investigators coat their own microplate and run the immunoassay in-house. Reagent volumes support processing up to 10 plates, offering flexibility for both pilot studies and larger cohort work without the cost of pre-coated plates.

The protocol produces a measurable signal read on a standard plate reader, with concentrations interpolated from a generated standard curve. The assay is intended for research use only and is reactive with canine samples.

Beyond autoimmune and oncology research, the kit is useful for vaccine immunology studies, transplantation research in canine models, and characterization of B-cell responses in infectious disease challenge studies. The flexible plate count also allows laboratories to scale throughput as projects evolve, and complete protocol documentation is included to support reproducible results across runs.
