Calsenilin/KCNIP3 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate measurement of Calsenilin (KCNIP3) levels in cell lysates and cell culture supernatants. The colorimetric assay is read at 450 nm and is validated for human and mouse reactivity, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. Its lysate-free, high-throughput microplate format is intended for adherent cells and supports sensitive detection of Calsenilin/KCNIP3 protein expression in cultured cells.

The kit uses an indirect ELISA format in which Calsenilin/KCNIP3-specific primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control to normalize target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step allows determination of cell density for further normalization. The assay enables qualitative determination of relative Calsenilin/KCNIP3 concentrations and can be used to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, and activators.

Storage is at 4°C with a stated shelf life of 6 months.
